Maia surprised her parents and gave them the shock of their lives when she was born early at 31 weeks. Her unexpected, premature arrival on November 5, 2022, lead to a stay in the NICU. She graduated and came home to her mom, dad, and big brother, Roman, on December 16! Documenting families as they grow their families is such an honor, and I am so thankful to have been a part of these moments. Ready to go behind-the-scenes with me?! Good news, friend! Maia’s Newborn Session
This lifestyle and posed newborn session was full of the sweetest baby smiles, and a big brother who shared the spotlight and wanted to play in baby sister’s nursery! Her brother, Roman, is the youngest sibling I’ve ever photographed during a newborn session. His young age made it tricky to get a photo of him and Maia together, but that’s okay! Their family photos, bonding with snuggles and reading books made for the sweetest memories. I know Maia and Roman will grow up being the best of friends!
Also, it was pretty cloudy the morning of the session so I was prepared to use my flash. However, having the kids’ nursery on the second floor with two windows allowed for lots of natural light so I didn’t end up needed it.
