She sat there with a smile on her face. Not believing this little miracle was actually here. And hers. She rocked. And rocked. And rocked. She held her baby girl so tightly. Her face glowed. She was proud. And so, so happy.
You see, in the short span of just five years, Kinsley met Jonathan, they were engaged, got married, moved to Arizona from St. Louis, bought a house, got a puppy, and had a baby. So many life changes happened so quickly, but the joy in her eyes is evident to anyone who meets her. She is radiant!
On October 1, 2017, precious Hudson Elizabeth Green was born. She joined 10-month-old Cocker Spaniel sister, Rosie. Oh, just wait till you see those two together! Rosie nearly stole the show from Baby Hudson. She was such a poser and warmed up to me so quickly.
I told Kinsley and Jonathan shortly after I arrived that it’s not uncommon for my nose to start running while I photograph newborns. It’s not because of allergies or illness. It’s because I’ll often start to get emotional from snuggling brand new babies. True story! While the tears won’t stream from my eyes, my tears try to come out of my nose instead.
This session was no exception. The runny nose began quickly after I brought the family into Hudson’s nursery. They were all so sweet together! Hudson was so content in her parents’ arms. They were naturals! I couldn’t help but gawk over the precious memories forming right in front of me.
Kinsley and Jonathan, I cannot thank you enough for welcoming me into your beautiful home–and your family–for those few short hours. Thank you for choosing me to capture this milestone for you. As Hudson grows from a spirited little toddler into a gracious young woman, I hope you’ll always treasure these images and look back on this time with fondness.
xoxo,
Brenna
