Logan Grace joined her family at 5:17pm on April 12, 2018. She’s the second girl born to proud parents, Erin and Adam, and instant best buddy to big sis Landry. Landry and Logan are almost exactly two years apart in age. It felt like just yesterday I was at their home taking Landry’s newborn photos!
I hope you enjoy reading Logan’s birth story, written by her sweet mama, Erin:
“I was in early labor for a couple of days and we live 30 minutes from the hospital where we delivered. I also had a pretty quick labor with our first daughter, Landry, and everyone said the second labor goes much faster. As a result, we went to the hospital too soon and were sent home twice, both times after walking around the hospital for an hour! But… the third time was a charm (and everyone was right. Once I was admitted, it went fast!)
My contractions were about two minutes apart when I was admitted and they were intense. Then my doctor suggested breaking my water to help things progress. We agreed and broke my water at 5:10 pm. I immediately went through the tough transition contraction. I felt the urge to push, and Logan was born just seven minutes later, weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces!
In looking back on my girls’ births, I can only describe the process as magical. The support Adam offered throughout the labor and delivery process was indescribable and I couldn’t have done it without him. It was also empowering to trust my body and experience bringing new life into the world. There’s just nothing like it and we are so excited to venture into life as a family of four!”
Erin and Adam, thank you so much for having me back and congratulations on baby number two! It’s been the greatest honor watching your family grow over the last few years. I can only imagine how full your hearts are when seeing your two girls together. I hope you cherish this next chapter and these images make you happy for years to come!
xoxo,
Brenna
