Christine Deaton is Brenna Heater Photography + Education’s May 2022 star student! She specializes in luxury maternity, newborn, and family photography, serving clients in the greater Scottsdale area and across the country. 

About Christine

Christine is a mother of two and runs her own successful business full time, which is quite impressive!   Before starting her photography business, Christine was a Biomedical Engineer. She left that career to become a full-time stay-at-home mom when her first son was born. She shares more about this on her Instagram. Christine loves what she does and how she is able to develop relationships with her clients and other photographers in the industry, which she calls her own “office” family.  She loves getting to be creative and nurture ideas that are close to her heart, which I must say she is AMAZING at! Whenever Christine is not behind the camera, she loves baking, traveling, working out, spending time with her family, genealogy research, dancing, and crafting!

Christine’s BHP experience

Christine is a part of the Mini Session Course, Lifestyle + Posed Newborn Course, and the Membership for Motherhood Photographers. The mini session course and the newborn course helped her refine the workflow she had in place for her clients. She now has more confidence showing up for her sessions and is not wasting energy second-guessing her methods.  She is able to love her clients and let her creativity shine! As an MMP member, anytime she has a question about business, she knows she can find the answer in one of the lessons. She has used the MMP to learn about offering albums, social media tips, behind-the-scenes sessions, and so much more.

Christine’s favorite part about being in the BHP community is the community itself! Being a business owner can be lonely at times if you do not have the support around you.  The BHP community is a group of like-minded photographers that are always willing to encourage you on the journey!  It’s so important to have others cheering you on in the business and even getting together in person to share creative ideas!
