I’m so thrilled to share the BHP Star Student for September with you! Julie McCook is a motherhood photographer located in Gilbert, Arizona, and so talented at what she does. She focuses primarily on maternity and newborn sessions. Julie says that when someone is getting ready to welcome a new baby it’s such a sacred, emotion filled experience. She considers it to be an absolute honor to be able to document these tender, life changing moments for her clients.
About Julie
Julie is an Arizona native! She loves the desert and thinks that there is so much beauty that’s underrated. She grew up in Tempe, AZ. After graduating high school she went to ASU to receive her B.S. in Communications. Julie married her husband, Chris, in February 2011, and now they reside in Gilbert with their three adorable kids (no seriously, look how cute they are)!
A few of Julie’s favorite things, other than photography and spending time with family, are dancing, being silly, jumping out and scaring people (a total favorite she says), bean and cheese burritos, listening to the music loud in my car and curling up in a blanket on my bed with my yummy food and a good tv show!
Julie is a member of Membership for Motherhood Photographers and a student in the Lifestyle + Posed Newborn Course and Mini Session Course. We are so thankful to have Julie as a part of the BHP community. I asked Julie her favorite part about being in the BHP community and her words were, “this is a community that is uplifting. People are happy to help one another with ideas, suggestions and giving pointers.” Hearing that just makes my heart SO happy! My goal is to provide as much direction as I can and be heavily involved with my students and their success.
