Breanna Ledford of Breanna Elise Photography is this month’s BHP Star Student! Breanna is a motherhood photographer and specializes in maternity, newborn, and family sessions. Her favorite part of being a motherhood photographer is being alongside families as they are expecting their little ones, helping them document the newborn stage in their homes with timeless photos of their growing family, and continuing to capture their milestones with family sessions as their kids get older. She is so wonderful at her calling!
ABOUT STAR STUDENT BREANNA
Breanna has had a love for photography since she was a teenager; however, becoming a mom and watching how quickly her babies grew before her eyes motivated her to deepen her knowledge and skill. She really wanted to be able to capture all the moments and milestones with a camera instead of her cell phone. She has a Bachelors in Music Education and has always loved being in the creative art industry so photography was a natural niche for her to get into. One thing led to another, and Breanna started her business and began sharing the gift of pictures for other moms and families! She is passionate about what she does and hopes her photos are treasured by families and generations to come.
Also, another perk about owning her own photography business is the flexibility that comes with it! Breanna is a wife and mom of two little girls, Zoey and Amelia, and having a job that allows her to be present with her family is so important. She loves that she is able to set her own hours, work from home, and it helps her to have balance being a mom. Her little girls are such an inspiration to her, and she loves that they are able to grow up watching her pursue her passions. Creating a life for her family and showing them that dream jobs are possible if you work hard and commit to her vision is a lesson she hopes to show her girls every day!
When Breanna is not taking pictures, you can find her spending time with her family, going on walks at local parks & trails, watching Disney movies with her girls, reading historical fiction, baking, and watching old B&W movies and shows.
THE BHP COMMUNITY
Breanna is such a valued part of the BHP Community. She is a student of the Membership of Motherhood Photographers, Mini Session Course, and my signature Lifestyle + Posed Newborn Course! Breanna started her journey with these education resources early this year, and they have helped her focus and transform her business as a motherhood photographer. She doesn’t have a studio space and travels to her client’s homes for newborn sessions so the Lifestyle & Posed Newborn Course has been especially beneficial for her to learn the best way to use the light and environment, and to help pose the family while documenting newborn sessions in someone’s home. She also said the Motherhood Membership content that is put out each month is extremely educational and helps so much with all the behind the scene details that come with running a successful motherhood photography business.
Breanna’s favorite part of the BHP Community is the supportive and encouraging atmosphere. She says other members are quick to give encouragement and share tips when questions are asked, and it is very focused on community over competition.
I am SO grateful to have Breanna as a part of the BHP Community! I am SO proud of everything you have accomplished on your journey thus far. Your mom’s and families are so lucky to work with you. I know you will continue to document moments and milestones they will cherish forever!
