I’m so excited to announce that Katie Petrick is the August BHP Star Student! Katie is the owner and lead photographer of Katie Petrick Photography.  She specializes in maternity, newborn, and family portraits. Her photography journey began in 2020 when the birth of her oldest daughter inspired her to always have photos to look back on to remember the little details.  She quickly fell in love with photography and began investing in education to hit the ground running.  Her best friend asked her to take her maternity photos, which led to taking her baby’s newborn photos, and the rest is history!

About Katie

Motherhood is Katie’s passion.  It’s her mission during a session to remove all stress and worry for all her Mama clients! She offers motherhood collections and feels so lucky to watch babies grow and capture how quickly they change.  As a mom of three girls under three years old, Katie sees first-hand how valuable time is.  

Outside of being an amazing mama to her three girls and a successful photographer, Katie is married to her husband of eight years.  They recently moved to North Carolina from Connecticut.  As a family, they love spending time outdoors and doing anything that involves water when they can.  Pasta, Diet Coke, and coffee are the fuel that keeps her going during the busy season!

The BHP Community

Katie is such a valued part of the BHP Community.  She is a student of the Membership of Motherhood Photographers, Mini Session Course, and my signature Lifestyle + Posed Newborn Course!  She says these educational resources have really allowed her to feel confident going into sessions.  It’s so important to Katie that she gives her clients’ unique galleries they are proud to share with family and friends.  She believes that these courses have helped her expand her photography skills and knowledge within the realm of Motherhood Photography. 

I couldn’t imagine the BHP Community without Katie!  She contributes so much to the other BHP students and is so supportive to other photographers.  Katie loves being able to connect with like-minded business owners, and we can all say the same about connecting with Katie!
